DEATHRASH Reveals Setlist For First Show In 22 Years

January 13, 2009

Reunited New Jersey thrashers DEATHRASH will play their first show in 22 years at Dingbatz in Clifton, New Jersey on Friday, January 16. The band says, "The last DEATHRASH show was March 27, 1987 so this will be an historic event. We will be playing all the DEATHRASH classics as well as new songs from our upcoming 'Thrash Beyond Death' release! You do not want to miss this show! It is going to rage!" The concert will be filmed and recorded for future release.

The group's setlist for the show will be as follows:

01. Thrash Beyond Death
02. Feel You Die
03. Buried Alive
04. Heart Of The Darkness
05. Red All Over
06. Lockjaw
07. A Time To Slay
08. No One Is Innocent
09. Unfinished Business
10. Blood For Blood
11. Warkeeper

DEATHRASH recently posted a new song, "Thrash Beyond Death", on the band's MySpace page. The track is the title cut of the group's upcoming CD, which will be released in early 2009. The effort will include the new tracks "Thrash Beyond Death", "Unfinished Business", "Buried Alive", "Red All Over" and "Warkeeper" as well as the "Faces Of Death" demo from 1986 and the "Live at CBGB's" recording from the band's August 10, 1986 show at the legendary club.

Commented bassist Pat Burns: "Originally we had planned to have live tracks from various shows on the CD but the differences in sound quality made us decide to go with just the CBGB's show. The show featured DEATHRASH classics such as 'Heart Of The Darkness', 'Feel You Die' and 'A Time To Slay' as well as the demo tracks. Our old friend Tony Scaglione [drums; SLAYER, WHIPLASH, LUDICHRIST, RAGING SLAB] will be writing liner notes for the 'Thrash Beyond Death' CD. As you know, Tony played on the 'Faces Of Death' demo after Marc [Grossman] quit. The 'Thrash Beyond Death' CD has taken so long to release because what had originally been a CD of old demo and live tracks turned into a full-on band reunion and we wanted to feature new tracks as well as old. We wanted everything to be right because you only get to come back after 20 years ONCE! When everyone gets a chance to hear it, I think they will agree it was worth the wait."
